Winter

Winter landscapes have their own particular magic, despite the fact that they may be a little barren and devoid of colour they are bathed in a wondrous sunset glow all day because the Sun rises just high enough to caress the tree tops.

The nights are long, dark and cold and if you can get away from city lights the sparkle against the inky blank of the night. Like delicate snow flakes floating in the air the winter Milky Way gently twinkles in the northern sky.
